A total of 13,765 new infections have been confirmed in the past week in Hungary, bringing the total number of identified infections to 2,107,907 since the beginning of the epidemic, according to the government information website. A week earlier, there were 11,392 new infections.
73 people, most of them elderly and chronic, died, bringing the total number of deaths to 47,576. Currently, 1,752 patients with coronavirus are in hospital, 32 of whom are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated people is 6,418,352, of whom 6,204,725 are on their second vaccination, 3,897 614 on their third and 348,934 on their fourth.
A total of 774 people are under official house quarantine. The number of cured persons is currently 2,025,292 and the number of active infected persons has increased to 35,039.
Re-vaccination is recommended for anyone who received their previous vaccination more than four months ago.
