COVID-19: Over a Thousand Patients on Ventilator

By Sunday, 8,863 new coronavirus infections had been registered, bringing the total number of identified infections to 516,490 since the outbreak began.

There were 162 deaths, mostly elderly, chronic patients, so the official number of COVID-19 related deaths rose to 16,952. 8,764 patients are treated in hospital with coronavirus infection, 1,005 of them are on ventilators, according to the related government website koronavirus.gov.hu.

The number of people who recovered is constantly increasing, currently standing at 351,891, while the number of active infected people has already risen to 147,647 people.

The official number of people vaccinated in Hungary is 1,319,266, of whom 392,703 have already received their second jab.
