3,042 new infections were confirmed in Hungary last week, bringing the total number of identified infections to 1,928,125 since the beginning of the epidemic. The death toll rose to 46,647 as 21, mostly elderly, chronic patients, passed away last week, according to the data by the related government site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The website said on Wednesday that number of cured patients is 1,871,930, while that of active infected is 9,548. 233 patients with coronavirus are currently hospitalised, five of them are on ventilators. There are 208 under official house quarantine.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,411 804, of whom 6,198 798 received the second, 3,884,105 the third and 305,216 the fourth coronavirus vaccination.
The website also pointed out that, due to the receding epidemic and the high vaccination coverage, vaccination will only be available at hospital vaccination points on Fridays from July, and that vaccination can still be requested from general practitioners and paediatricians.
The booster vaccine is recommended for anyone who has had their previous vaccination more than four months ago, they added.
