The Cortinthia Hotel Budapest has recently hosted a very special event, a charity cooking evening, organized by the Csodalámpa (Magic Lamp) Foundation. Participans of the event prepared specialties of Indian cuisine.
The goal of this event was again to help realize a child's dream. The 'cooks' this time came from the savings bank Fundamenta-Lakáskassza, one of the oldest supporters of Csodalámpa Foundation. With their help, 15-year-old Nándor's wish for a saxophone came true, so he will be able to continue his musical studies on this instrument.
Nándi already plays the piano, but he wanted to study on another instrument. He had his eyes on a saxophone for a long time, but it was way too expensive for his family. During the event, guests were invited for a walk in the hotel’s Ballroom, the VIP room and the Spa, before they hit the kitchen.
Following the tour, they tried out different techniques to create wonderful dishes with the help of chefs Péter Bolyki and Lucas Patole who has Indian origins. The menu included a delicious mango yoghurt drink, followed by some vegetable Samosa. Some participants only watched while the buttered chicken got prepared but all the ladies and gentlemen helped in the jagging of the Samosa pasta. The program ended with a pleasant dinner.
