Another 213 Hungarians died due to complications of the new coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours – two more than in the previous day. Other figures (with the exception of the number of new infections) also worsened.
The official number of pandemic-related deaths rose to 21,928 in this country while the number of new infections decreased significantly (by 2,692) to 3,874.
The number of people requiring hospital care is 11,806 (235 more compared to the previous day), 1,451 of whom are on ventilators (11 more than 24 hours before).
Number of those having received the first dose of one of the vaccines (including those not approved by the European Medicines Agency) is 2,362,839 (up 50,338 since Sunday's announcement). Of these, 913,012 people were vaccinated with the second dose (up 7,895 since Sunday's announcement).
According to Monday's data from the government coronavirus site, 23.7% of the Hungarian population has already been vaccinated.
