After a two-day break, the number of new deaths a day rose again to over a hundred, after 103 patients died in Hungary, bringing the official number of new coronavirus related deaths to 14,450.
In the past 24 hours, 1,628 new cases of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected, thus increasing the official number of infected people identified in Hungary to 407,274.
The number of people cured is currently 310,848 and that of the currently infected is 81,976, according to the government's website on the coronavirus situation. A day earlier, news had been received of 2,623 new infections and 48 more deaths.
4,582 coronavirus patients are cared for in a hospital (the last time so many infected people were in the hospital was on January 15), 396 of whom are on a ventilator. 9,326 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours. So far, 457,096 have been vaccinated, 205,720 of them have already received their second jab.
