Daily number of COVID-19 Fatalities Falls Under 100

The new coronavirus infection took the life of 94 Hungarians in the past 24 hours, bringing the official number of COVID-19 deaths in this country to 10,648.

The infection was detected in another 1,778 Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 342,237.

The majority of the 94 deaths were elderly and chronic patients. The number of recovered people is also constantly increasing, standing currently at 197,936, while the number of active infected people has decreased to 133,653.

4,980 coronavirus patients are cared for in hospitals, 357 of them are on ventilators, writes the related government site koronavirus.gov.hu.
