The new coronavirus infection was detected in another 1,374 Hungarian citizens, which is the highest daily number of infections so far. Previously the highest number was 1,322 on October 2.
With Saturday's data, the total number of infected people identified in Hungary increased to 36,596.
20 patients died in Hungary in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of fatalities to 933. 9,683 had already recovered, according to data uploaded to the government coronavirus website.
The number of active infected people is 25,980. There are 1,174 patients with coronavirus hospitalized, 110 of whom are on ventilators.
The number of patients treated with a ventilator increased by 38 in one day. On Friday, there were 1,176 new infections, 15 patients died, and the number of active infections was 25,107.
