The egg park in the center of the Western Hungarian town just north of Lake Balaton has been decorated again this year, with a two-meter-high egg even bigger than last year's, advertising the town's attractions.

In addition to decorating the park's tree with weatherproof eggs, enthusiastic members of the Women's Club also set up an egg spring where the youngest children could stick their Easter decorations. To everyone's amazement, local artist Judit Varjas presented the town with a one-and-a-half-meter high Styrofoam egg decorated with Hungarian folk art motifs.

The painted egg has become an occasional landmark and a popular photo opportunity for Tapolca. Later, rose bushes were planted on the arbor, so that it now adorns the town with a floral display during the year. This year, the park has been spruced up, new elements have been installed and the Women's Club members have renovated the eggs.
