Debrecen, eastern Hungary saw the opening of the 29th Farmer Expo fair this Tuesday.
At the opening ceremony, the Minister for Agriculture, István Nagy said that the significance of the event was increased by the fact that for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, Hungarian agricultural actors could share their experiences in person.
László Vaszkó, the director of the fair, and the managing director of V-Trade Exhibition Ltd., who organized the expo, added that the courage of the exhibitors, the solidarity and cooperation of the actors in the sector were needed in order to hold the meeting again this year. The four-day expo will feature about 100 exhibitors, as well as a number of professional forums and animal shows, he said.
The co-organizer of the expo is the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), whose president emphasized in his opening speech that the actors of the Hungarian agrarians have handled the emergency in an exemplary manner, and they have done everything to ensure that the Hungarian population does not suffer from the pandemic.
