The number of new infections in the statistics fell sharply. The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in another 1,893 Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the official number of infected people in Hungary to 285,763.
107 patients died in the first 24 hours of the week, bringing the number of deaths to 7,237. This, according to an international study quoted by euronews, puts Hungary in the third worst position on the continent as far as the number of COVID-19 fatalities per population is concerned.
The number of recovered people is also constantly growing, currently, it is at 83,115 and the number of active infected people is 195,411. 7,845 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 597 of them on ventilators.
