This Tuesday, the first shipment of Moderna vaccine arrived in Hungary shortly after 10 o'clock.
A van with the vaccine shipment, accompanied by police escort, left Belgium at 4 pm on Monday afternoon and arrived to the Budapest site of Hungaropharma pharmaceutical wholesale distribution company.
The consignment, which contains 7,200 vaccines enough to vaccinate 3,600 people, is constantly monitored by a digital temperature sensor inside to keep the vaccine at -25 degrees Celsius.
According to a television report, the Moderna vaccine will be given to residents of nursing homes.
