To mark France's national holiday, the French Institute in Budapest will once again hold its traditional street party on July 12 in Budapest.
The free, open-air event will offer music, dance, and culinary programs from afternoon until late evening, guaranteeing a Parisian atmosphere, according to information provided to MTI by the French Institute in Budapest.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a French folk playhouse: the Tesz-Vesz Youth and Children's Foundation will provide wooden skill and logic games for those interested.
The artists of Mothers Back will hold a playful dance class, and French blues musician Anais Rosso will arrive from France for the event, creating a unique hybrid sound that blends blues, opera, electronic and baroque music.
Mónika Lakatos and her Folk Trio will give a concert, entertaining the audience with Olah Gypsy songs and music from other peoples. DJ Sanyi will close the evening with a set ranging from French music of the 1960s to carnival rhythms.
In addition to all this, visitors to the free event will be able to sample a variety of French dishes and delicacies.
