The coronavirus epidemic has so far claimed the lives of 29 healthcare workers, says the website of the Hungarian Medical Chamber.
There are seven GPs among the deceased. Several nurses and ambulance officers also lost their lives due to the infection, and the website also reported about a deceased hospital director .
Over the last week, almost every day recorded a fatality among those working in this sector.
In Hungary, 5,984 people have died of complications caused by the new coronavirus infection. The number of active infected people is 173,881 while that of the recovered is 74,283.
