The Casa del Caffé Vergnano, a Coca-Cola-owned company, has become a catering partner of the Félegyházi Family Bakery, which can now develop its services with a premium coffee brand, the Italian coffee company has told MTI.

Based on the long-term cooperation, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will support the bakery with modern equipment, expert advice, professional training and servicing, which operates 90 of its own shops and serves 400 partners, the company said.

According to the statement, the partnership was initiated by Coca-Cola and Caffé Vergnano, and the Félegyházi Family Bakery is confident that the coffee specialities and new product pairings can significantly increase their turnover.

According to a Coca-Cola expert, a well-chosen seasonal coffee recipe can lead to an increase of up to 15%, they noted.

The bakery's customers consume almost one and a half million cups of coffee a year, 40-45,000 people shop in its stores every day and 35,000 tons of products are produced on its production lines every year, giving the company a share of almost 10% of the Hungarian bakery industry's HUF 280 billion turnover.

They are also working on a HUF 10 billion greenfield investment at their headquarters in Kiskunfélegyháza, which will include a new production hall, a cold packing plant and a frozen storage warehouse. The development will create 200 new jobs and currently employs more than 1,400 people.

According to the report, the company will have a turnover of more than HUF 20 billion in 2022, and last year it already exceeded HUF 30 billion, with a small part of its sales already abroad. Profits rose from HUF 434 million in the previous two financial years to almost HUF 4.5 billion.
