October 3, 2012

Justice Minister Tibor Navracsics has written to senior Bolivian officials, asking them to ensure that Hungarian national Elõd Tóásó, who is accused of terrorism and has been detained for more than three years without trial, can stand trial and mount a free defence.

Navracsics turned to counterpart Cecilia Ayllon and Minister of the Presidency Carlos Romero Bonifaz, asking the authorities to observe Bolivian law, which requires that people held in pre-trial detention be freed three years after their arrest if their case has not come to trial.
