Hungary: Number of Infected People Exceeds 1.8 million

3,064 new infections have been identified in Hungary over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of identified infections in this country since the beginning of the epidemic to 1,800,046.

75, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, bringing the official total number of deaths related to the new coronavirus epidemic to 44,286.

The number of recovered persons is steadily increasing, currently standing at 1,618,574, while the number of active infected persons has decreased to 137,186.

2,961 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 127 of whom are on ventilators.
