Hungary PMI Rises to 51.5 in June

Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.5 points in June, rising from 50.2 in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Wednesday.

The PMI was over the 50-point threshold, signalling expansion in the manufacturing sector.

Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose 3.7 percentage points and continued to show growth.

The production volume index increased 2.2 percentage points and showed an expansion.

The employment index fell 2.5 percentage points and was again below the 50-point threshold.

The delivery times index rose 3.4 percentage points but remained below the 50-point mark.

The gauge of purchased inventories edged up 0.6 percentage points and showed an expansion.
