IP WEST office building has become the first existing building in Hungary to achieve WELL certification, following a comprehensive renovation. Unique for obtaining the WELL Core certification under version 2 of the WELL Building Standard, which focuses on property services and common areas, IP WEST has earned a Gold level rating, as reported by Colliers' strategic advisory team.

Located in the South Buda submarket, the 32,000-square-meter IP WEST has recently renovated its common areas, including receptions and a 2,000-square-meter internal garden. Additionally, new amenities such as a gym, yoga, and game rooms have been created to focus on employee rest and rejuvenation. The renovation incorporated functions necessary for WELL certification, featuring art from contemporary painters and natural elements in both plants and materials used. Lobby displays assist tenants with navigation and provide useful information regarding outdoor weather conditions, indoor air quality, temperature, and humidity. A library corner at the main reception offers various books on healthy living.

"Colliers is proud to have contributed to this unique achievement through our ESG advisory team. This project exemplifies the flexibility of WELL certification, demonstrating that existing buildings, not just new constructions, can implement features that support the health and well-being of employees," the head of Colliers' ESG strategic advisory division, Norbert Szircsák said.

The quality of water and air, indoor and outdoor comfort, acoustics, and lighting all meet the stringent requirements of WELL certification, confirmed by an independent expert evaluation post-renovation. Furthermore, the building provides comfortable working conditions for the operational staff.

Stairwell designs feature unique graphics and maximum natural lighting. New conference rooms support corporate meetings and external guest receptions. For those commuting by bicycle, secure storage, changing rooms, showers, and tools for bike maintenance are available.

The WELL certification system prioritizes human health and well-being in the built environment, evaluating ten categories: air, water, nourishment, light, movement, temperature, sound, materials, community, and mind. Achieving certification can enhance the health and well-being of the building's occupants and workers, and increase the property's value.
