DENSO Gyártó Magyarország Ltd., the Hungarian subsidiary of DENSO Japan, which has been operating in the city for 25 years, has donated a four-seasonal themed garden to the city. The newly inaugurated Japanese garden is located on the island of Csónakázó Lake in Székesfehérvár.
The company, founded in 1997, wanted to create a lasting memorial to its colleagues and the community of Székesfehérvár with this Japanese-connected asset. The garden was handed over to the Municipality after its construction, but the company will take care of its professional cultivation and maintenance for five years.
"There are currently around 180 Japanese companies operating in Hungary. DENSO was one of the first to settle in Hungary and has been one of the most important automotive parts manufacturers for 25 years, supporting Hungarian business and economy," the Japanese Ambassador to Hungary, Masato Otaka, said in his welcome speech.
The company makes donations to the city, supports educational institutions, among other things, and the Japanese Garden provides a place for the city's residents to relax. The garden is a living thing, which can be expanded and beautified in the future, and reminds Székesfehérvár, the company and the city residents of the good cooperation, the Ambassador added.
