More Than Ever COVID-19 Fatalities in Hungary in One Day

The dramatic prognosis about over 250 fatalities a day has come true with 252 Hungarians falling victim to the new coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

The 252 dead were mostly old, chronic patients, increasing the official number of COVID-19 related deaths in this country to 18,703.

In the past 24 hours, another 5,481 Hungarians became infected with the coronavirus, which has increased the number of identified infected people to a total of 586,123 since the beginning of the epidemic.

The number of recovered people is constantly growing, standing currently at 378,176, but the number of active infected people has also risen to 189,244.

There are 11,873 coronavirus patients in hospital, 1,389 of whom are on ventilators, so their numbers have also increased since yesterday.
