By Tuesday, the number of active infections in Hungary rose to 222,334. More people than ever before, a total of 12,553 coronavirus patients, are being hospitalized.
274 patients (the second highest daily number in Hungary) died in the previous day, bringing the official number of deaths related to the news coronavirus infection to 20,435.
The number of new infections was 4,609 (2,654 less compared to the previous day), the number of people on ventilators was 1,529 (32 more thna in the previous day).
The number of people tested was not reported but but - according to the authorities -, the number of Hungarians given at least the first vaccine is now over two million.
On Tuesday, another 165,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine arrived in Hungary.
