MVM Mobiliti handed over its first charging station with a total capacity of 600 kilowatts in Törökbálint, just west of Budapest. The station was implemented with support from the European Union.
The development was implemented in the MVM Ultra project, with funds supported by CINEA (European Climate Policy, Environmental Protection and Infrastructure Executive Agency) of the European Union. The total cost of the project is HUF 1.217 billion, of which the grant amount is EUR 1.5 million (HUF 587 million).
In the program, charging stations with a total capacity of 600 kilowatts, which are equipped with charging heads of at least 150 kilowatts, will be installed in a total of 10 locations, thus enabling faster and more convenient charging for customers.
These infrastructure developments significantly contribute to the spread of environmentally friendly transport in Hungary, thereby helping to achieve the climate and environmental protection goals of Hungary and the European Union, it was highlighted in the announcement.
Mobiliti, which has been cooperating with the Auchan department store chain for years, will implement its investments after the Törökbálint location in Miskolc, then in the parking lots of the Budakalász, Csömör, Dunakesz, Fót, Kecskemét, Maglód, Székesfehérvár and Szolnok stores.
In addition to the support source for 10 locations won in 2022, Mobiliti will be able to establish electric charging stations with a capacity of 600 kilowatts at another 20 locations in the country in the future with a new support amounting to EUR 3 million (HUF 1.17 billion).
Creating a sustainable future and supporting electromobility is of utmost importance to the MVM Group. Mobiliti, which belongs to the group, operates the largest electric charging infrastructure in Hungary as a Charge-Point-Operator, and offers green electricity charging from renewable energy sources provided by MVM on its own chargers.
Its charging station network of 1,700 public e-charging points provides full national coverage for its registered customers, whose number exceeds 100,000.
