The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has knowledge of 58 Hungarin citizens who were in the area when the earthquake hit Nepal on Saturday and still has not managed to make contact with 10 of them this Monday, the Minister said.

Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Monday that according to the Ministry, 18 Hungarians managed to leave Nepal safely and the whereabouts and the conditions of 30 other people are also known, Hungarian officials so far failed to make contact with ten Hungarians stranded in the country.

He added that it was poor technical conditions that hindered efforts to establish contact with them. The majority of the Hungarians who left Nepal departed Kathmandu on Monday morning, while two people from a group of five tourists decided to remain in the country.
