At its 24th Annual General Assembly held this week, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (AmCham) elected a new First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary Treasurer and three Board members-at-large after reports by the organization’s top officials.
After the reports by President William Benko, Secretary Treasurer Péter Fáth and acting CEO, László Metzing, the General Assembly elected Norbert Fogarasi, General Manager of Morgan Stanley Analytics Ltd. was elected as First Vice President; Ferenc Pongrácz, GTS Country Leader of IBM Hungary as Second Vice President and Péter Fáth was reelected as Secretary Treasurer all for a two year term.
Three new members were taken onto the Board: Gábor Gonda, Managing Director of Hewlett Packard, Hungary; Bob Mansfield, Director of European Search, Mansfield and Associates and Diána Stegena, General Manager of Amgen Kft. For the full list of AmCham Board members please click here.
The General Assembly’s agenda also included the presentation of the Dr. Iván Völgyes Award which recognizes an individual’s significant contribution to the strengthening of US - Hungarian investor relations. This year the award was presented to Mr. Robert Peaslee, Senior Commercial Officer at the American Embassy in Budapest.
