Another 63 new coronavirus patients died in Hungary in the past 24 hours, 15 more than the previous daily record. The majority of the 63 deceased suffered from chronic diseases. The total official number of new coronavirus fatalities in the country is now 1535.
In one day, another 2,079 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 63,642.
More and more people are being hospitalized. Currently there are 2,891 coronavirus patients in hospital, 243 of whom are on ventilators. These figures suggest that epidemiological vigilance should be maintained. The epidemic is spreading intensively throughout Europe and around the world, which is why flattening the epidemic curve is the most important goal.
