Another 16 Hungarians fell victim to the new coronavirus infection increasing the official death toll to 781, according to the government website.
The number of confirmed people infected with the coronavirus in Hungary now stands at 27,309. The number of those in compulsory home quarantine is 21,930 while 6,118 are counted as recovered.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases is 20,410. There are currently 757 patients hospitalized with the coronavirus, 52 of whom are on ventilators.
