As of 00.00 hours this Tuesday, Tamás Sulyok is the new President of the Republic in Hungary. He was elected President by the governing majority of Hungarian Parliament on February 26. He is the seventh President of the Republic since the change of regime in 1990.
As his first activity as the new head of state, Tamás Sulyok signed the parliamentary decision on Sweden's accession to NATO.
