By Tuesday, the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) had been detected in 902 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the official number of infected people in Hungary to 317,571.
131, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 9,292. The number of recovered people is also constantly increasing, currently 138,365, while the number of active infected people has decreased to 169,914.
There are 6,298 coronavirus patients in hospital, 444 of them are on ventilators.
A day earlier, 609 people had been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection and 114, mostly elderly, chronic patients had died. On Monday, 6,261 coronavirus patients were hospitalized, 448 of whom were on a ventilator.
