The number of electric vehicles registered in Hungary reached 101,534 by the end of December, the Energy Ministry said in a post on social media on Wednesday.
The number of electric passenger cars climbed over 94,000, the ministry said.
The number of electric vehicles has doubled in the past two years and nearly one-third were registered in 2025.
Electric vehicle sales have been boosted by HUF 40 billion in subsidies for businesses buying the vehicles.
