Over 12,000 COVID-19 Fatalities in Hungary

Although, the number of COVID-19 fatalities (56) was much lower in the past 24 hours than in the previous weeks, the official number of deaths related to the new coronavirus infection is now 12,024.

The new coronavirus infection was detected in another 844 Hungarian citizens, increasing the official number of infected people identified in Hungary to 360,418.

The number of people recovered is constantly increasing, it is currently at 243,092, while the number of active infected people has decreased to 105,302. 3,814 coronavirus patients are cared for in a hospital, 247 of them are on ventilators, the government website koronavirus.gov.hu wrote on Monday.

The previous day, 1,257 new infections and 64 deaths were reported. So far, just over 140,000 people have been vaccinated in Hungary, mostly health workers. 9,403 people had already received the second dose.
