Another 195 people, the majority of them were elderly, chronic patients, lost their lives in the past 24 hours due to the new coronavirus infection, bringing the total official number of deaths to 8,099.
The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in another 2,967 Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 302,989.
The number of recovered people is also constantly growing, and is currently at 97,443, while the number of active infected people is 197,447. 41,445 people are in quarantine.
7,022 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 520 of whom are on ventilators.
