Pécs Brewery, in the southwest of Hungary, has developed a family of non-alcoholic isotonic beverages in a more than HUF 800 million project, the company told MTI.

Pécs Brewery was awarded close to HUF 400 million in support for the project from the National R+D+I Office.

In their announcement, they stated that they had developed prototypes of these products, which "combine brewing technology with health-conscious consumer expectations for functional beverages." One of the products is already in production, and the new beverage, which is currently unique on the Hungarian market, will be available in additional flavors starting in the second half of the year.

Pécs Brewery has seen a tenfold increase in sales of its 'radler' low-alcohol products over the past three years.

Pécs Brewery had net sales revenue of HUF 6.6 billion in 2024, public records show.
