The development of pet breeding will be helped by the new location of the pet exchange in Monor, which was handed over on Sunday, the Minister of Agriculture István Nagy said at the opening of the fair.
The minister added that the European-level fairground created with the financial and professional support of the ministry will provide breeders with new opportunities. On the 8-hectare site, it is also possible to sell several types of pets and exchange breeding animals.
Further infrastructural developments may come to the newly opened fairground. According to the minister, with the new location, the pet exchange is unique in Europe: "whoever wants to sell and buy breeding material will have to come here from all over Europe."
