Women's leadership and the physical and mental presence of the glass ceiling in business and diplomacy. That was the topic of panel discussions by successful business leaders and diplomats at the residence of the Dutch ambassador in Budapest this Monday afternoon.
Through personal stories and experiences, the panelists reflected on the theme and shared their experiences in business and diplomacy with the few invited guests and those watching the talk through the Internet. The event, organized by the Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) and the Dutch embassy, was hosted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Désirée Bonis.
Participants of the ambassadors’ panel included Dutch ambassador Désirée Bonis; the Ambassador of Canada, Caroline Charette; and the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, Pavol Hamžík. The panel was moderated by Borbála Czakó, a former Hungarian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Honorary President of the HBLF and President of the Hungarian Institute of Directors.
Participating in the CEO panel were the owner and president of ACG communication agency, Nikolett Blaskó; Country Chair, Chair of The Board of Directors at Shell Hungary Plc. Andrea Solti Istenes; the Managing Director of Abacus Medicine, Katinka Zinnemers; and the Managing Director at FrieslandCampina Hungaria Plc., Péter Szautner. The discussion was moderated by the founder and president of Women in Energy, Andrea Pánczél.
The panel discussions were part of the series of programs of the annual EU Diversity Month, which takes place in May and in which the coordinative organizer of the local events in Hungary is the Hungarian Business Leaders Forum.
