In 2024, more than a hundred companies have joined in to give fathers the opportunity to bring their children to work on the occasion of the now traditional 'Shoulder to Shoulder with Dad Day', launched six years ago by the Men's Club Independent Social Organisation. This year, Provident Financial Ltd. also joined the program and was pleased to provide a venue for the official event.
Each year, this program gives children the opportunity to see what their fathers do when they are away from home. Dads can finally show how their days are spent in the work environment. Company managers are also keen to support this initiative as a way of demonstrating to their employees that they are providing a truly family-friendly workplace. The event is held every year on the Monday following Father's Day, but this year, unusually, it was held on June 24, giving fathers the opportunity to spend a whole day with their children.
Provident Financial Ltd. has a long tradition of paying special attention to work-life balance in order to be fit for all walks of life, which is why they were happy to join the 'Shoulder to Shoulder with Dad' initiative.
"We know that parenting has many dimensions beyond financial security. We believe that it is important for society to recognise the contribution of fathers, and that strengthening the father-child relationship in the workplace is an effective way to do this. In our experience, it helps children to feel secure and shapes their future vision if they see how fathers cope with the challenges of everyday life," Viktor Boczán, CEO of Provident Financial Ltd. said.
