Within the framework of the ProviGreen program, a sustainability initiative of Provident Financial Ltd., together with the Municipality of Szekszárd, the employees of the financial service provider plant nearly 400 saplings along two cycle path sections in Tartsay Vilmos Street and Keselyűsi Road in the south-central Hungarian town.
"Our city's network of cycle paths is constantly developing, but at the same time the greening of the immediate surroundings of the roads is also of great importance to us, which is why we were pleased with Provident's initiative, thanks to which our city will be enriched with hundreds of trees," Szekszárd Mayor Attila Berlinger is quoted in a statement by Provident.
"The ProviGreen program aims to reduce the company's ecological footprint and emphasize the importance of an environmentally conscious lifestyle. In this year's initiative, we are raising awareness on two issues at the same time: cycling as a healthy lifestyle and the importance of planting trees," the CFO of Provident Financial Ltd., Attila Horváth added.
