The 2022 Santa Claus Factory Opens in Budapest

This year, the Santa Claus Factory has opened its doors again. This year, pre-Christmas donations are welcome at the Városháza ['City Hall'] Park in the center of Budapest. Collection points will be opened not only in the capital, but also in several cities across the country. The donations will be distributed to disadvantaged families by the Oltalom ['Shelter'] association.

According to the event's website, Santa's Garden is mainly looking for donations of non-perishable food, cleaning products, toiletries and sweets. "It is important to stress that the needy need durable food the most, so if you can, bring as much canned food, pasta, flour, sugar, rice, potatoes, apples, oil, drinking water, sweets."

Every year, more and more people volunteer for Santa's Village. Many come to Hungary specifically for the Santa Claus Factory over the Christmas period. People from Australia, China, the USA and many other European countries come to help and pack. They are doing a great service to Santa ClausYar, and thus to the people who donate.
