Vaccination of Teachers Begins in Hungary

On Thursday, the extraordinary vaccination of previously registered kindergarten and school teachers started in more than four hundred hospital vaccination places in Hungary.

Following repeated requests from teachers over the past couple of months, their vaccination is now under way. They are vaccinated on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with Pfizer.

The Hungarian state news agency reports that more than 162,000 of them will be invited to the current and next week's vaccination campaign. Even after the first vaccination, there is a significant increase in protection against the severe course of the viral infection, according to the related government portal.

By midnight on March 29, nearly 215,000 nursery, school, nursery and vocational training workers had registered for vaccination. Of these, 174,000 are employees of public education institutions, 29,000 work in vocational training, 11,000 work in state or municipal, and more than a thousand work in private nurseries.
