The National Center for Public Health has released aggregated data for the past week. They show that 1,636 new infections were confirmed last week, about 20% more than in the previous week, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the outbreak in Hungary to 1,923,122. 32 deaths, nine more than in the previous week, mostly of elderly chronic patients, brought the total number of deaths to 46,626 in this country.
The number of cured patients is 1,869,244, while the number of active infections has fallen by more than a third in a week to 14,194. 197 patients with coronavirus are currently hospitalized, six of whom are on ventilators. Both of the latter two numbers are lower than in the previous week. 147 people are in official home quarantine.
The total number of vaccinated people is 6,411,384, of whom 6,198,318 have received the second, 3,882,792 the third and 303,801 the fourth vaccination.
