Yet Another Sad Daily Record: 193 COVID-19 Deaths

193, mostly elderly, chronic patients died and another 5,525 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the new coronavirus infection in the previous 24 hours, the government website koronavirus.gov.hu reported on Saturday.

The official number of infected people identified in Hungary increased to 243,581. The number of deaths rose to 5,706, and the number of those who recovered increased to 70,396.

The number of active infected people is 167,479. The government website finds it important to point out that 19% of the active infected, 22% of the dead, and 24% of the recovered are from Budapest.

There are 7,695 coronavirus patients cared for in hospital, 637 of them are on ventilators. There are 53,315 people in official home quarantine.
