Device to Send Tourist Personal Data to Authorities

As of January 1, 2021, tourist accommodation places in Hungary will be required to send digitally read data from their guests' personal identification documents to the Hungarian state. A Hungarian firm has now come up with a device of affordable price to meet this requirements.

The essence of the GoodID Scanner is that one can scan documents with almost any Android phone. The mobile application is connected to an application installed on the accommodation place's PC, which automatically transmits the data to the accommodation's own software and from there to the state database.
The document reader mobile app can run either on the hotel's or landlord's own Android phone or on a dedicated device at the reception. GoodID has also developed a special telephone stand that allows you to read documents quickly and professionally at high-traffic receptions.

It is important that the GoodID Scanner does not photograph the documents in their entirety, it merely records the mandatory data and transmits it to the center in a verifiable manner, without storing any personal data.
