This Sunday saw the rowing race between the southern and northern shores of Lake Balaton, a total distance of nine kilometers from Fonyód to Tihany and back. There was such a high interest in the event that the organizers only accepted entries made in advance.
The crossing could be entered by human-powered water sports equipment, boats, SUPs, and rowing boats. The race category was determined by the paddle used to drive the device (kayak, canoe, rowing, SUP, dragon boat). Any unusual watercraft had to be approved in advance by the organizers.
The vessels and equipment needed for the transfer, including their delivery to the site, had to be provided by everyone. Participation was only possible in a life jacket.
