Last year's winner, the boat RSM driven by Róbert Vándor, was the first to cross the finish line of the 53rd Blue Ribbon Raiffeisen Grand Prix in Balatonfüred on Thursday evening.

The final stage of the race, which started in light winds, saw a great battle between the defending champion and the time record holder Fifty-Fifty, driven by Márton Józsa, with RSM emerging victorious by a few minutes, completing the course in 11 hours 42 minutes 12 seconds.

In third place was the AUDAX Django driven by Zoltán Petrányi, the winner two years ago.

556 boats entered this year's Blue Ribbon race.

The Kékszalag is Europe's longest rowing sailing race, first held in 1934. The sailors have to cover 155 kilometres as the crow flies over a 48-hour flat time.
