Since Irish champions FC Dundalk would find it difficult to return to their country from Slovenia due to quarantine requirements, they will play their UEFA Champions League qualification match against Slovenia's NK Celje in Hungary on Wednesday next week.
According to the website of Slovenian soccer champions NK Celje, there is a change of location in the first round of qualifications for the Champions League between Celje and Dundalk.
"Our opponents would have difficulties in returning to Ireland from Celje in the coronavirus period as Slovenia is not on the green list of this island country," the website says. The two clubs therefore had to agree on a neutral venue in accordance with the instructions of the European Football Federation UEFA.
The duel between the Slovenian and Irish national champions is now scheduled to take place at 19:00 hours on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Újpest FC's Szusza Ferenc Stadium in the northern part of the Hungarian capital.
