Krisztián Németh is the first Hungarian citizen to win the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS) championship title as his team, the Columbus Crew SC won the single-match final against the defending champions Seattle Sounders.
Krisztián Németh who sat on the bench during the final match was signed by Columbus Crew SC just over two months ago (October 5, 2020) from Slovak side DAC Dunajská Streda.
He started his senior career at Budapest side MTK in 2005 and he has played at various clubs since - mostly abroad, including Sporting Kansas City (2015 and 2018-19) and the New England Revolution (2017-18) in the United States.
