The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has named Hungary's Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic as "Doubles Team of the Year".

The Hungarian-French pair captured two titles this season – both at the Grand Slam level: at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, marking their third and fourth major doubles titles as a team.

In Melbourne, they defeated top seeds Strycova/Hsieh in the championship match and they finished semifinalists at the Qatar Total Open (Doha).
Mladenovic spent one week as the World No.1 doubles player in 2020 on February 24, 2020 (first achieved June 10, 2019), while former No. 1 Babos reached as high as No. 2 this season.
