Hungary's Tímea Babos - in pair with France's Kristina Mladenovic - won the women's doubles title at the Australian Open tennis Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne this Friday.

In the final, he No.2 seed Franco-Hungarian pair defeated top seeds Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan and Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic in two straight sets, 6-2 6-1.

Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos are champions for a second time at Melbourne Park after reclaiming the Australian Open women’s doubles trophy they landed two years ago. They became the first duo to win the Australian Open without conceding a set since 2004, the tournament’s website notes.

“It’s our third consecutive final, second title here... There’s something about Australia, something about this court we really love and we just love coming back each year,” Babos is quoted on the AusOpen website.
