A groundbreaking U21 men’s singles tennis tournament with substantial prize money is held from September 18 to 20 at the PG Tennis Club on Kőér Street in Budapest. The Stanley Cup’s main sponsor is the STANLEY hand tool brand.
The goal of the STANLEY Cup is to provide genuine competitive and developmental opportunities for male tennis players under the age of 21 in an age group where there is a particularly great need for high-level tournaments offering appropriate financial recognition.
Due to the high level of interest, the tournament features a 64-player closed main draw – a first in many years. The three-day competition, taking place from September 18 to 20, thus offers the most talented players in the domestic U21 age group the opportunity to test their skills against a strong field.
The total prize pool of HUF 750,000 is considered exceptional for this age group and clearly reflects the organizers’ intention to create a competitive opportunity for young players that is not only prestigious but also offers real stakes.
The STANLEY Cup, made possible with the support of the global brand STANLEY – the tournament’s title sponsor – is a new initiative that aims to fill a gap in Hungarian junior tennis. The organizers of the Stanley Cup are confident that the tournament can become an important fixture on the competition calendar for young Hungarian tennis players in the long term and can help ensure that, in 2027, talented players will earn ranking points in the new U21 category in addition to prize money, while gaining experience in as many high-level domestic tournaments as possible.
