The Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary (BCSDH) has presented the multiple festival-winning documentary Beyond Zero for the first time in Hungary at an exclusive corporate event hosted and hosted by E.ON Hungária Group in cooperation with Sustainova.
In addition to the top executives of BCSDH member companies, members of the Net Zero Advisory Board were also invited to the event this week, including Paul Fox, the UK Ambassador to Hungary, BCSDH says in a statement.
The event was moderated by Irén Márta, Executive Director of the BCSDH, and the participants were welcomed by BCSDH President Attila Chikán, who is also the CEO of the ALTEO energy group, Zsolt Jamniczky, Deputy CEO of E.ON Hungária Group, Tomas Svoboda, Co-Founder and CEO of Sustainova, and Nathan Havey, writer-director of the film (via video message).
The inspiring and multi-festival winning documentary explores the personal and corporate transformation of business leader Ray Anderson, answering questions such as what the steps to a successful paradigm shift are, how to engage leaders, convince investors and engage business partners to achieve climate goals.
Following the screening, a roundtable discussion was held with committed leaders from sectors relevant to climate protection: Tímea Pesti (Ald | LeasePlan), Zsolt Jamniczky (E.ON Hungária Group), Balázs Báthory (Market Építő Plc.), who shared their thoughts and dilemmas. During the roundtable discussion, participants stressed the importance of the belief and will of the top leader to ensure that sustainability permeates the entire organizational culture and motivates employees to take action. Observing the natural environment and drawing inspiration for concrete improvements can be a great help in achieving climate goals, which is one of the key ideas of the film.
BCSDH is working with the Sustainova team to disseminate this inspiring film for business leaders and employees in the country to accelerate systemic change and meaningful action towards climate goals.
